I love it when I get a client that has a vision for their wedding that is truly timeless and beautiful. Even better is seeing that vision come to fruition in all its glorious details. Heidi and Lalo came to us wanting an invitation that was going to mirror the classic elegance of their wedding in Barcelona, Spain. We created a beautiful Tiffany Blue silk letterpressed gatefold invitation and followed through with pieces for the actual day: Programs, menus, place cards and ended it all with an elegant set of custom Thank You cards. Barcelona - Tiffany Blue and Silver Silk Luxury Wedding Invitation
I’m so excited about the new invitation design that is going out this week! Heidi came to us wanting a really luxurious wedding invitation suite that would capture the glamorous and romantic look and feel of her upcoming wedding in Barcelona, Spain. At Carciofi Design we relish the chance to create truly luxury wedding invitations using sumptuous fabrics, colors and textures. The result is always unique and beautiful. Shown here is theinvitation in shades of silver, pale teal and tiffany blue. We created the hardcover three-panel gatefold using dupioni silk, satin ribbon and finished it off with a gorgeous Swarovski crystal buckle closure. I just love how all the personalized elements come together with the beautiful letterpress press printing. This is one invitation that is sure to be a show stopper!

Gold Marbled Paper Letterpress Invitation with Handmade Custom Box
It must come as no surprise that I have big time client envy. I say that in the best sense of the word though because I really do love my clients! It’s just hard not to get a little envious when we are working on these amazing invitations to wonderful destinations, thinking about the beautiful venue, the elegant reception…. ah c’est la vie!
Quynh and Ian are having a small, intimate Parisian wedding this fall. They came to us earlier this year wanting a classic and elegant box invitation for their closest family and friends. One that would really capture the spirit of their destination and be something that everyone could keep as a remembrance of the day. Quynh had fallen in love with the look of the Rococo invitation on the website, and wanted to take some of the same elements and tailor it into something uniquely their own. We found this beautiful aqua and gold hand marbled paper from Sustain and Heal and designed (and made entirely by hand) beautiful custom boxes to hold the invitations. The box is entirely lined in a crushed gold leaf paper, tied with double faced satin ribbon and topped with an ornate metal piece which frames the names of the couple letterpressed in gold ink on shimmering ivory paper.

On the inside, the gatefold invitation is wrapped in gold twine and sealed with a fleur de lis wax seal. Each panel holds a different piece of information. On the left is the venue, complete with a beautiful line drawing of the actual church. The center panel is the invitation itself with a floral swag adorning the top. On the right, is the the reception venue. All letterpressed in gold ink. It’s truly a stunning presentation.

Oh So Elegant! Silk Box Wedding Invitation With Crystal Brooch and Feather Detailing.
We’ve been in full swing for our fall and winter weddings these past few months and are super excited about these silk box wedding invitations that went out last week! Tina and Paul are having a sure-to-be-spectacular Los Angeles wedding. We were thrilled to be able to go all out and design a beautiful invitation for their big event. We letterpressed a gorgeous beaded floral pattern in silver and midnight blue on Crane’s Lettra paper, mounted it onto a crushed silver backing and embellished with rhinestones. Top it off with a large flower Swarovski rhinestone filigree brooch with a custom made feather rondele and it is sure to tickle the fancy of their guests!
