Barcelona - Tiffany Blue and Silver Silk Luxury Wedding Invitation

I’m so excited about the new invitation design that is going out this week! Heidi came to us wanting a really luxurious wedding invitation suite that would capture the glamorous and romantic look and feel of her upcoming wedding in Barcelona, Spain. At Carciofi Design we relish the chance to create truly luxury wedding invitations using sumptuous fabrics, colors and textures. The result is always unique and beautiful. Shown here is theinvitation in shades of silver, pale teal and tiffany blue. We created the hardcover three-panel gatefold using dupioni silk, satin ribbon and finished it off with a gorgeous Swarovski crystal buckle closure. I just love how all the personalized elements come together with the beautiful letterpress press printing. This is one invitation that is sure to be a show stopper!

Custom Wedding Stationery Tuscany Bride – My Fair Wedding with David Tutera

Carciofi Design had the pleasure of designing stationery for two episodes of My Fair Wedding with David Tutera this season. Both shows were a lot of fun to work on. Working with David and his team is always great and they really do give you creative control to do your best. We first worked with David last season on the Minitruck Bride episode. This season we designed the printed materials for Tuscany Bride and Motown Bride. All three episodes are in rotation now on WeTV, so be sure and tune in and catch us!

Carciofi Design had a great time at the I Do Bridal Show, held November 20th at the Langham Pasadena. The show was packed and a great success despite the rain. Gold Marbled Paper Letterpress Invitation with Handmade Custom Box

It must come as no surprise that I have big time client envy. I say that in the best sense of the word though because I really do love my clients! It’s just hard not to get a little envious when we are working on these amazing invitations to wonderful destinations, thinking about the beautiful venue, the elegant reception…. ah c’est  la vie!

Quynh and Ian are having a small, intimate Parisian wedding this fall. They came to us earlier this year wanting a classic and elegant box invitation for their closest family and friends. One that would really capture the spirit of their destination and be something that everyone could keep as a remembrance of the day. Quynh had fallen in love with the look of the Rococo invitation on the website, and wanted to take some of the same elements and tailor it into something uniquely their own. We found this beautiful aqua and gold hand marbled paper from Sustain and Heal and designed (and made entirely by hand) beautiful custom boxes to hold the invitations. The box is entirely lined in a crushed gold leaf paper, tied with double faced satin ribbon and topped with an ornate metal piece which frames the names of the couple letterpressed in gold ink on shimmering ivory paper.

On the inside, the gatefold invitation is wrapped in gold twine and sealed with a fleur de lis wax seal. Each panel holds a different piece of information. On the left is the venue, complete with a beautiful line drawing of the actual church. The center panel is the invitation itself with a floral swag adorning the top. On the right, is the the reception venue. All letterpressed in gold ink. It’s truly a stunning presentation.

Congrats to Quynh and Ian! We are sure your Parisian wedding will be trés magnifique. We’re just a little jealous that we don’t get to go!

Oh So Elegant! Silk Box Wedding Invitation With Crystal Brooch and Feather Detailing.

We’ve been in full swing for our fall and winter weddings these past few months and are super excited about these silk box wedding invitations that went out last week! Tina and Paul are having a sure-to-be-spectacular Los Angeles wedding. We were thrilled  to be able to go all out and design a beautiful invitation for their big event. We letterpressed a gorgeous beaded floral pattern in silver and midnight blue on Crane’s Lettra paper, mounted it onto a crushed silver backing and embellished with rhinestones. Top it off with a large flower Swarovski rhinestone filigree brooch with a custom made feather rondele and it is sure to tickle the fancy of their guests! Paris Theme Bridal Shower Invitation

I love Paris in the winter when it drizzles, I love Paris in the summer when it sizzles, but barring the prospect of actually traveling to France, I really love Paris when it’s the theme for a fun and fabulous party! Tina’s family is throwing an ultra chic bridal shower at one of LA’s hippest hotels with a Paris burlesque theme and they wanted an invitation that was elegant, fun and would help transport their guests to gay Paree! We came up with this rose pink floral and Eiffel Tower inspired invitation wrapped in satin black and white striped ribbon. Swarovski crystals and a crystal buckle give it a sparkling finishing touch!

Hardcover Letterpress Wedding Invitation with Textured Papers in Silver and Ivory

It’s been a very busy wedding season and we’ve been a bit behind on the blogging thing, but we’re excited to show one of the projects that’s been keeping us buzzing the past few weeks! We love doing international weddings and got super excited when Susan from Kenya placed her order with us for 300 hardcover wedding invitations. Textured papers, letterpress, beautiful satin ribbon and a Swarovski crystal buckle in delicate shades of silver and ivory set the tone for a truly elegant affair.

Our specialty is beautiful design married with equally beautiful papers and embellishments. The combination makes for a stunning keepsake invitation. Full customization is included in the cost of all our invitations so your invitations are sure to be unforgettable and wonderfully unique!

Italian Movie Poster/Ticket Invitation

Think we only do high end elegant invitations? Think again! Katie and Derek got married on the Amalfi Coast of Italy last year with 50 of their closest family and friends in a 13th century baroque church. While the wedding and reception were certainly on the elegant side, the couple wanted to throw a big fun party upon their return to the US for 150 friends who couldn’t make the trip. They had hired a professional videographer to document the trip to Italy and make a mini movie of their time there. The party was to be held at a cinema/dinner club with a viewing of the film during the evening. Katie’s original idea was to do a movie ticket invitation, but these are so overdone and we wanted to get more creative. Luckily she loved the idea!

Shown above is the invitation. The cover is done in the style of a vintage Italian movie poster. We illustrated a photo of the happy couple and composited it with a background of the city architecture. See the dome with the cross in the background? That’s the actual church where they got married. The title of the event/movie was “Ciao Italia!” which translates to “Hello Italy!”… a film about love and matrimony, Italian style. The opened poster cover reveals the invitation on the right with a pocket on the left to hold the movie ticket with a perforated tear off RSVP postcard. We used see through cello sleeves instead of envelopes so the whole thing arrived in the mail like a glossy magazine. Ah! La dolce vita!
